"STANLEY CUP FINALS"

The Boston Bruins ended many years of frustration for their organization and their fans, as they defeated the Vancouver Canucks four games to three to win the Stanley Cup. The finals featured many side stories, including the injury to the Bruins Nathan Horton early in the series, and a finger biting incident that precipitated many responses from both teams and fans. Bruins goalie Tim Thomas was the series MVP, and the fans of Boston finally got to celebrate after many years of patient waiting, as team captain Zdeno Chara and his teammates hoisted the cup in celebration in Vancouver, and many more times in Boston after they returned home.
