Logged and burned forest. Long Temala, Sarawak, Malaysia. To make way for an oil palm plantation, land in Sarawak, in Malaysian Borneo, is stripped of trees, then burned. Palm oil is a prime export for Malaysia and Indonesia, and global demand is growing.
