Inspiration in Chicago
At Annual POYi Program

The POYi Education & Awards Program in Chicago was a tremendous success with hundreds attending the presentations and exhibition debut. Our sincere appreciation to all the premiere speakers who inspired, educated, and motivated us all. Our sincere thanks to The Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Photography Center that hosted the 69th annual POYi Education & Awards Program on April 20 – 21.

POYi was privileged to partner with Chicago's foremost news organization and the city's prestigious learning and gallery institution for the two-day event featuring presentations and a 50-print exhibition by winning photojournalists and visual editors.

The two-day event welcomed some of the most prestigious photojournalists and visual editors as premier speakers. The Chicago Photography Center hosted an open reception for the unveiling of the POYi "Visions of Excellence" exhibition. The Chicago Tribune will welcomed POYi on Saturday for an impressive full day schedule by premier winners, including recognition of the world's best photojournalists during the presentation of awards ceremony.

Key speakers this year were Marco Grob and Kira Pollack of TIME Magazine for their project, "Beyond 9/11: Portraits of Resilience;" Ed Ou of Reportage by Getty Images; and Newspaper Photographer of the Year Craig F. Walker with The Denver Post, among other speakers.

The program is completely free and everyone is welcome to attend. POYi welcomes all the winners to receive their awards and participate in the education and professional development program.

POYi is honored to have partnered with these esteemed institutions. Thanks to the generous invitations from The Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Photography Center, POYi is able to realize its goal to offer professional development and inspiration to photographers through the power of imagery and presentations.
